About Niki

Self-taught mixed media artist, Niki Adams, is based in Clarksville, TN.

She started her journey while living in Green Hills, TN nearly a decade ago. Opting for a more traditional higher education rather than accepting a spot in art school, led her to her first career in music business. But she eventually returned to her first love, painting. Word of mouth spread quickly. "Patrons began to commission work which greatly helped me hone and practice my style."

After a brief time (2019-2020) in Los Angeles, CA she returned to Nashville with a fresh approach to her mostly abstract, nonrepresentational painting. “I incorporated my creative influences in music and recording studios to canvas. This is most evident in my "heartbeat' abstract Nashville cityscape design”. In May 2021, she was selected for a mural downtown Nashville on historic 2nd Ave painting on boarded windows of businesses after the aftermath of the Christmas 2020 bombing. Using "Rise" as a theme of inspiration and her signature sound wave design of the ever-changing Nashville Skyline.

“I believe art is a soul-searching evolution, which translates to color. My work reflects nature, world events, individualism within a collectiveness. It is how I pray and meditate. It requires time to deeply reflect and intuitive courage to apply it to a substrate. I want to convey a sense of hope, beauty and flow. To tell a story in a visual format is my expression and my intent.”

Niki has curated shows and displayed her work for several years downtown for the Nashville Art Crawl. In 2013, she was included an international show, the Nomadic Project as one of the local artists featured with artists from around the world. This show led her the opportunity to sell her work at the Tennessee State Museum.

June 2016, her work was included in the one of the first artist showcases at Berkshire Hathaway office in Nashville.

In 2018, do615 an online publication, featured Niki on International Artist Day Every person has a unique experience with art I strive to make the experience beautiful.
